In order to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy for the Nintendo Famicom on December 18th, 1987, Square Enix has announced the Final Fantasy I-VI Collection for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The first three games were released July 28th, 2021, and the next three games were released every few months, with Final Fantasy VI being released on February 23rd, 2022. Square Enix digitally released the Pixel Remaster series of Final Fantasy I through Final Fantasy VI on PC and mobile last year.
